Cookie Notice
Last updated: 17 August 2026
This notice explains the cookies and similar technologies used on bitcointax.co.uk, what they do, and how you can control them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to function, to remember your preferences, and to collect information about how the site is used. Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, work in comparable ways and are covered by this notice.
The categories we use
- Strictly necessary. These are required for the website to operate. They cannot be switched off. They include a session cookie used to keep site administrators signed in, and a cookie recording your cookie preferences so we do not ask you on every page. We do not need your consent for these.
- Analytics. These help us understand how visitors find and use the site, which pages are read, and which pages lead to an enquiry. We use this to improve our guides and the enquiry process. These are only set if you consent.
- Advertising. These allow us to measure the performance of our advertising, so we can see which advertisements lead to genuine enquiries and stop paying for those that do not. These are only set if you consent.

We also use Plausible Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. Neither sets cookies, neither uses fingerprinting, and neither tracks individuals across websites. They run whether or not you consent, because they collect no personal data about you.
Your choices
When you first visit the site you are asked whether to accept analytics and advertising cookies. You can accept all, reject all, or choose. Rejecting them does not restrict any part of the site.
You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of every page. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect how other websites work.
